Okay, yes, I’m totally cliché, it really was love at first sight. Middle school had just ended, and it was time for my usual long drive to my mom’s house. You know, one of those completely uneventful drives… until I stepped out of the car and saw him. This guy was wearing clothes three sizes too big, a sideways hat, and talking to who knows who about who knows what. Our eyes met, and just like that, history was made. Nakoda already knew my mom and stepdad, so he kept showing up… and I couldn’t help but wonder why. Was it me? Well, obviously. He’d hang out with my brother, and naturally, I was the annoying little sister who insisted on tagging along. I admired him from every angle, secretly hoping he’d notice me. And guess what? It worked; he asked me out. We were the definition of forbidden love. Everyone seemed to hate the idea of us together and tried everything they could to pull us apart. But when love is real, there’s no stopping it. We were just two kids who fell in love and refused to give up. Through it all, we built a life together, and here we are, still going strong and still just as in love as ever.
