If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery is a great option, especially for anyone interested in architecture or history. Built just before the Civil War, the mansion has survived much of American history and both the interior and exterior of the mansion shows it. There are several tours avaliable to view the mansion and grounds, from a bourbon experience to a wine and food pairing. Be sure to book any tours before arriving at Belle Meade to avoid it being sold out!
