We've known each other for many years and connected through our shared love of music and adventure. We've seen many mind blowing concerts and traveled around the world, taking in its incredible natural beauty and diverse cultures. We found the perfect travel and life partners in one another and are so excited to share this next step with you all!
Matthew took Amanda to Wendy Park, on Lake Erie, the location of their very first date. They spent the day walking around and enjoying the water. They have a shared love of collecting rocks, shells, and wood on shorelines. Matthew pointed out an area where there may be shells and while she was looking in that direction, he put out a shell from Florida for her to find. This shell was very large and clearly out of place for the area. None the less, Amanda walked past it over and over without noticing it at first, which only heightened Matthew's anxiety in anticipation. Eventually, he pointed it out and she went over to investigate. Written on the inside of the shell Matthew wrote "Will you marry me", and when she turned around he was down on one knee with the most beautiful custom made ring, with an heirloom diamond from his grandfather. . . she said yes!
We love the Florida Keys. From it's beautiful turquoise waters, to snorkeling adventures, amazing food, music and drinks, it is one of our favorite places on earth. We are traveling to the Florida Keys to have an intimate wedding on October 18, 2021. We understand the difficulty of traveling to the location of the wedding and will have our reception in Cleveland to ensure all of our friends and family can join us in this celebration.
Please join us in celebration of our marriage! The reception starts at 6pm on November 13th, 2021 at the Sachsenheim Hall, 7001 Denison Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102. Food and beverage will be provided. The attire is casual. Entertainment provided by Chris Hatton. Feel free to bring an instrument to jam on stage! We are planning this in the hope that there will no longer be travel bans (we miss our Canadian friends!) or restrictions. Regardless, we have reserved the largest hall in the Sachsenheim Hall. Which will be filled to less than 25% capacity, providing plenty of space to practice physical distancing.
