We're Getting Married!

The story of Matt and Amanda is a story of two old souls being brought together in a modern way. The two first met in October 2022 when they matched on Bumble. At the time, Matt was just getting started as a news reporter at his hometown TV station, FOX43, while Amanda was applying for nursing school. As they were getting to know each other, they both realized they had a common connection with Leah Hall, who was Amanda’s classmate at East Pennsboro High School and Matt’s co-worker. “Matt, you’ll absolutely love her! She’s so awesome,” Leah told Matt at the time. Shortly thereafter, the two had their first date at the Lower Allen Diner in Camp Hill. Any nerves Matt and Amanda had were immediately washed away as they connected over their shared values and love of family. Despite only knowing each other for a few weeks, both felt as though they had been friends for years. “We were not just looking for a relationship; we were looking for a best friend. That day we knew we found that in each other,” Matt and Amanda said. That first date quickly spawned a three year journey full of memories and love. From movie nights, to ski lessons, to beach trips, to family dinners, and wine tours, each day added a new chapter to Matt and Amanda’s story. These chapters all culminated on October 4, 2025, when Matt proposed to Amanda at the Seneca Lake Harbor in Watkins Glen.
