Matt and Amanda met on the set of "Last of the Manson Girls", an indie film made in Herndon, VA. They quickly discovered they had a mutual friend in common, Grant Pollard. After that, Matt and Amanda learned they had so much more in common. In addition to having had similar childhoods, they also had a love for film, photography, and music. They became fast friends and have been dating ever since!

Matt proposed to Amanda in her favorite city: London. After years of sharing her love for the British capital, Matt knew it was time for a visit and planned his proposal accordingly. They landed in London early in the morning and took a walk along the Thames. When they got to Westminster Bridge, Matt knew he was in a good spot and popped down on one knee. Amanda said yes right away, and they spent the rest of the trip celebrating!
