On a trip to NYC to see one of my favorite music artists, Karolina and I decided to walk the Brooklyn bridge for some exercise. I, unaware of the impending proposal, moseyed along the bridge, stopping by fresh fruit carts and to take photos of the pretty view. Once we got to the middle of the bridge, Karolina handed me a letter to read and got down on her knee. I stood there shocked, with watermelon juice stains on my shirt, not fully sure what was happening. Family and friends came out of hiding in the crowd to celebrate with us. And in a New York minute, we were engaged. Little did Karolina know, I also had plans to propose, something I confidently thought I would beat her to. Later that month, we visited Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Maryland, one of our favorite places to enjoy a cold one or two. This time Karolina was left shocked - also not sure what was happening! And once again, we were engaged and celebrating with loved ones. Many cheers were toasted. Now, we impatiently wait to celebrate with the rest of our family and friends at our reception in September.
