A mutual friend connected us through FaceBook and we immediately began communicating through messenger and then by text. A week later we met at a local restaurant, which is now a favorite of ours - Casa Grande. Following dinner we weren't ready for the date to end so we walked around our local Town Square to continue getting to know one another. The rest is history!
Justin told Amanda they were going out to have dinner with friends. While she was getting ready for said dinner, Justin was scrambling to prepare for the proposal. Prior to leaving for the dinner reservations, Justin asked Amanda to walk out onto the front lawn to show her a new addition to the Christmas lights in their yard. Amanda believed the new addition to be a lit K-State Powercat that he had said he had been working on. He requested that she keep her back to the new addition until he turned it on. Once Amanda reached a particular point in the yard Justin turned on the lights and asked her to turn around. The board read "Will You Marry Me?" in purple and white lights. She instantly said "Yes!" prior to him even getting the chance to ask her. He then got down on one knee, showed her the beautiful ring and finally asked her to make him the happiest man on Earth and marry him. Immediately after slipping the ring on her finger, Justin began playing their song, Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett. Afterward champagne was consumed and celebrations were had!
