In high school we both had the same first job, slinging sliders at your local White Castle. We became friends the more we worked together, but only as much as two coworkers normally are, not seeing each other outside of work. One afternoon, our mutual coworker invited us to Chick-Fil-A after school. Amanda and I met our co-worker at her house. At the last minute something came up and she ended up bailing on us. I told Amanda I wouldn't mind going if she still wanted to go. We ordered our food, grabbed a table and the conversation came naturally. It felt like we had known each other our whole lives. It was so easy to talk that time passed in an instant, no topic was untouched. We talked about our pasts, families, dreams, goals and futures. I felt like you could hear the pieces of our lives clicking together, we were made for each other. This was the day that changed everything.
