It all began in 2007, in a high school Junior year English class. Josh and Amanda were both students in that class, but their paths might never have crossed if not for a twist of fate. Amanda, known for her lively personality and, let’s be honest, her constant talking, was moved away from her friends and seated in front of a quiet Josh. Little did they know, this seating arrangement was the start of something extraordinary. As the days passed, Josh found himself drawn to Amanda’s infectious enthusiasm. Their casual conversations turned into deeper connections, and before long, what began as simple classroom chatter blossomed into a genuine friendship, which then blossomed into a relationship in June of 2009. After high school, life took them in different directions. Amanda stayed in their hometown to attend California State University, Fullerton, pursuing her studies. Meanwhile, Josh chose a different path, joining the U.S. Marines and embarking on a journey that took him far from home. For almost four years, their love endured the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Despite the miles and time zones separating them, Josh and Amanda found strength in their connection, eagerly anticipating each reunion and cherishing every moment they spent together. After four years of dedicated service, Josh returned home, and he and Amanda began to build their careers. Their days off together were filled with adventures, from exploring the great outdoors to savoring wine tastings in beautiful Santa Barbara. In 2021, Their shared love for nature and adventure eventually led them to Reno, Nevada, where the majestic mountains were just a short drive away. In December 2022, With the snow-capped mountains and Christmas lights as their backdrop, Josh proposed to Amanda, marking the beginning of the next chapter in their incredible love story. As we look back on their journey from high school classmates to lifelong partners, we are reminded of the strength of their love and the beautiful memories they’ve created.
