Our love story began in the great city of Lubbock, Texas. After six months of phone conversations, Amanda made the drive from Portales, New Mexico, where she was attending school, to visit Josh for the first time. Josh showed up in his best "Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark" t-shirt and from the moment they met the connection was undeniable. They spent the day exploring the Texas Tech campus, chatting about everything under the sun, and wrapped up the evening with a friendly (and competitive) game of Mario Kart. For the next two years they were long-distance trading weekends between Lubbock and Portales and proving that love really does go the extra mile. Eventually, they made the move to Austin, TX where they’ve built a life of laughter, growth, spontaneous adventures and are now proud dog parents to their adorable pup Tipper.

After 5 years of dating Josh and Amanda made their first international trip to Quebec City, Canada to stay at the historic Le Chateau Frontenac and visit the German Christmas market. Running off 4 hours of sleep and bundled up in their coats and scarves Josh got down on one knee and popped the question beside the icy St. Lawrence River (it was 8 degrees outside!) The couple was then able to celebrate their engagement with mulled wine and the best churros they’ve ever had.
