Roughly 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, you can head over to Johns Island and check out the Angel Oak Tree native to the land for the last 100 years.

There are 3 main beaches in the Charleston area! Folly Beach is the closest to the wedding venue but there is also Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms in Mt. Pleasant as well for those in town that don't mind a bit more of a drive!
Check out the local goods and crafts at the lively city market! Second longest-running public market in the nation (darn Baltimore).
There are plenty of Gardens and Parks across the area. Some of our favorites are Pitt Street Bridge Park, Hampton Park, Middleton Place, Boone Hall Plantation, Cyprus Gardens, and Magnolia Gardens.
If you have time, be sure to check out the variety of unique museums across downtown Charleston. From the new International African American Museum to the Sea Turtle Rescue at the South Carolina Aquarium, the city has a wide variety of engaging exhibits for anyone!
