It all started on Mother’s Day 2021 at The Loading Dock in Grafton. Amanda was working as a server & Jordan had stopped in after a duck blind draw. The place was typically packed, but because of a storm rolling through, Amanda wasn’t as busy as usual. That twist of fate gave them the chance to exchange more than just stolen glances. They couldn’t stop locking eyes across the room. Eventually, small talk turned into smiles, but Amanda had to get back to her tables. Still, she couldn’t shake the thought of him. So in what she swears was the bravest thing she’s ever done, she scribbled her phone number on a guest check, walked up to Jordan, and said: “Since we don’t know each other, maybe we should get to know each other.” Jordan texted her that same night. A few days later, they hung out for the first time & then they just never stopped. By their third date, Amanda had invited Jordan to be her plus-one at a wedding in eastern Tennessee. Some might say that’s bold, but for them, it just felt natural. From there, life fell into place. They got their first apartment together that October, bought their first home a year later & soon after adopted their great pyrenees mix, Koda & picked out their chocolate lab puppy, Copenhagen too. Along the way, they discovered what so many people search for their whole lives: a love that feels easy. To this day, they still joke that they don’t even know how to fight with each other. In October 2024, Jordan got down on one knee in the exact spot where it all began at The Loading Dock surrounded by friends and family. Amanda said yes to forever with the man she couldn’t stop staring all those summers before. And now, they are thrilled to celebrate the start of forever with all of you!! See you soon!
