We Found Our Happily Ever After

We really had no idea we would be meeting each other the night we met. Ashley and Anthony Del Signore were throwing a house warming party. Jess is friends with Anthony, and Ashley is Amanda’s sister. Jess played beer pong most of the night and Amanda socialized with friends and family. Jess was one of the last guests hanging out while Amanda was helping clean up. A plate of hot dogs and a heap of ketchup is what brought Amanda and Jess together. After Amanda handed Jess the hot dog plate we started talking, and didn’t want to stop. The next day, Amanda asked Ashley for Jess’s phone number. To be honest, Jess could not remember exactly who Amanda was (beer pong for several hours can do that hahaha). Amanda reached out first, and after mentioning hot dogs, Jess remembered Amanda. That is also when we planned our first date.

Jess and Amanda took their time in getting to really know each other. After many bonfires, late night talks, texting all day long, spending most every weekend together Jess told Amanda she was “his girl”.

Jess surprised Amanda at Capehenlopen Beach during the anual Jamison Family Vacation. This was the 5th family vacation Amanda and Jess had spent together. We were posing for a photo in front of the beautiful ocean when suddenly Jess got down on one knee. Amanda was completely shocked and left Jess on his knee for a few mintutes but then grabbed his face for a huge kiss and a “YES of course”!
