During a time when I was perfectly content on my own, I was scrolling through Facebook and came across this super handsome guy and his little girl. I won’t say I was smitten—because that would be weird—but I will say I messaged him to tell his little girl happy birthday. She was turning six, and she had the cutest little birthday party. I kept scrolling, thinking nothing of it… until he messaged back. I absolutely wigged out. I never thought he’d respond, but he did. We talked for a bit, and a couple of weeks later we planned our first date. We joke now that once we went on that date, I never left—and honestly, it’s true. He was such a handsome man, a kind and loving dad, and he has always been so good to me and our kids. He always says during that time he was ghosting a bit because he wasn’t ready… but with me, it was different. I was different. And how could I not fall in love with him? Sure, I get on his nerves and he gets on mine, but I know God works everything together for a reason—and he is my reason. The rest is history… and now we’re getting MARRIED!
