It all started with a simple statement on Jason's Hinge profile that said, " I won't shut up about my nephew." To which Amanda said, "Well I won't shut up about my niece." That little comment was the start to our forever. Hinge has a funny way of grabbing your attention, and that isn't just by the very cute pictures one can post. We were over 100 miles away from each other and modern technology, along with fate, brought us together in a rather unconventional way...at least in the traditional sense. From the moment we went on our first date, December 4th 2020, both of us knew this was something special. A long distance relationship could have proceeded to be extremely trying on us, but we went out of our way to commute back and forth to each other as much as possible. Having tried our luck at love and marriage before, we knew that it was important to be careful with each of our hearts. If you asked Amanda, she would say that from the moment she met Jason, she knew that she never wanted to live life without him. Jason and I chatted on the phone and texted for a week before we got to meet in person. When the time finally came for me to meet him, I was excited and nervous. He drove up to Atlanta and when I met him, I just knew he was something special. I texted my Aunt and said, "Oh I'm going to love him." The best and easiest decision I've ever made in my life was saying yes to Jason asking me to marry him. He is my best friend and soulmate. He is caring, hilarious, kind, and oh so handsome. There isn't a day that goes by where Jason doesn't make me feel like the most loved woman in the world. I feel so safe in his arms and am so thankful we found each other. Cheers to future adventures and to making new memories with the love of my life. Jason would say, the first day I saw Amanda I drove up to Atlanta from Columbus. About a 2 hour drive. Drove up right after work, in uniform and after navigating through the parking garage, the maze of hallways...getting lost a couple times, but finally was able to find her door and I knocked. When the door swung open I was greeted with the most amazing smile, her eyes were kind and true. I knew from that moment that this woman was unlike any woman I had ever met. She gave me the warmest and kindest hug, and welcomed me into her apartment. From that point on our love story began and it continues every single day. She is the most heartfelt and kind individual I have ever met. Today we continue to grow, learn, and have a deeper love for each other than we did yesterday. She is the love of my life. I'm the luckiest man alive to have her in my life. We are so excited to embark on the journey as husband and wife. We couldn't be more thankful for all of the friends and family who are joining us on our special day. With love, Amanda and Jason
