It was a brisk summer night. The smell of Honda exhaust hung in the air, and reggaeton blared in the background. We locked eyes. Nope, this man is always with his Shakespeare stuff, ha-ha. We met on a summer night at a car show. We did not lock eyes, but he caught my attention. I thought he was so handsome (at that time, being a teenager, I'm sure I called him "sexy"). We went to a friend's house, where I got to see his goofy, silly, and playful side. He seemed chill and had a good vibe. I had to get to know him! A few weeks went by, and I got his number from one of his cousins. It was weird to call this guy when I didn't even know if he knew me, let alone remembered me. I talked with my little sister and joked about actually calling him. The next day, we headed to the mall, and to my surprise, who did we bump into? JAMAR! As I nervously kept walking, I saw him approaching. We said hello, and he told me, "Sorry, I didn't answer your call last night. I had to be up early for work." I was confused because I hadn't called, but I said no worries. He asked if I wanted to get together that night. Long story short, Tash called him because she knew I never would have. Fast-forward to life happening, us finding each other again 9 years later, and realizing that our one day really is going to happen on October 11, 2026. Where will we finally be able to have our happily ever after? I say YES! And I say Yay!! Fireworks explode and light up the night's sky as if the sun has risen once again to say good morning. Yup, that wasn't me, guys. Again, there he goes with his silliness.
