Our Story

Jackson and Amanda met at the hospital—he was a firefighter bringing in patients, and she was working as an ER tech. After their first date, getting Chinese food and playing pickleball, (and accidentally meeting Jackson’s mom and her friends) they were inseparable. Everything just clicked with them—it truly felt like a match made in heaven. Unfortunately they only had a little over a month together before Amanda was shipped to Texas for seven months of military training. They spent every second they could together until their goodbye at the airport. For two months, their only communication was through letters—Jackson wrote to her every single day. He flew down for her Basic Military Training graduation and visited her at tech school as often as he could. Just as the long-distance chapter was nearing its end, Jackson received news he was being deployed to the Middle East for nine months. With only a week's notice before heading into a month of training (and unsure if he’d have a break before deployment), he immediately booked a flight to visit Amanda. He then visited five ring stores until he found the perfect one and proposed that Saturday. She said yes! Less than 24 hours later, they had to say goodbye again. During his training, communication was cut off for a month again. In that time, Amanda made a decision that if Jackson got a break before deploying, she wanted to marry him. Once Jackson was able to communicate, she brought up her idea conveniently right before he learned he’d be able to come home for a month. Two weeks later, on July 3rd, 2025, they were married in a small chapel in San Antonio, Texas with just them and the officiant. Jackson stayed for 12 days, and they, again, spent every second together they could. Then came another goodbye, as Jackson left for Iraq. Now, Amanda is home from training and Jackson has finally returned from deployment(with their no more long awaited goodbyes). They’re now planning a wedding celebration with their closest friends and family on the same date, one year later. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and share all that the our future holds!
