I immediately fell in love with Amanda the first time I met her and every time thereafter. Her confidence, intelligence, and unwavering beauty strongly grasped me. The very first time I saw her was when a mutual friend invited me to a study group for our intro Biology class in an apartment close to campus. Our study group consisted of Amanda’s roommates and we were all studying at a dining table including Amanda. As a few hours went by and I was still not understanding the subject matter, I decided to turn my attention towards Amanda who was sitting to my immediate left. In an awkward and condescending attempt of starting up a conversation, I asked her if she was studying for some easy elective class and in response, she said that she was studying for Organic Chemistry and the class I was studying for she already took her firs quarter in her first year. Embarrassed but now deeply in love, I kept quiet the remainder of the night and never thought I would get a chance to see her again. Until was until the first day of the Fall quarter when I saw Amanda again as I was walking through campus. I immediately asked my friend who that girl was and he told me that it was a girl name Amanda. We continued home and I never thought I would see her again. It wasn’t until the Fall quarter when I was taking Biochemistry when I saw her again. She was sitting right in the middle of the front row like a nerd. Again, I asked my friend Kristine, who this girl was and was confirmed it was Amanda. After a few class went by, I finally worked up the courage to say hi to Amanda. After the class ended, I waited at the very end of my row for Amanda to walk all the way up from the front middle seats so I can get a chance to say hi. When she finally got close enough, I said hi and before I could invite her to our party the upcoming weekend, she immediately said “you know, class started at 6:00 p.m.” because I was always 30 minutes late to this class. I was immediately in love.
For our 3 year anniversary we decided to book a trip to San Francisco. When we arrived at the airport, Amanda had booked the wrong date for the flight...off to a great start! :). Huy had paid the hotel to decorate the room and was originally planning to propose at the hotel. Amanda's friend Ryan lived in San Francisco and showed them around the city all weekend. Friday night, Amanda and Huy went to their first Michelin star restaurant La Folie, where they started the night. Ryan then took them exploring until 2 am. They visited Coit Tower, Golden Gate bridge, many others, and finally the Palace of the Arts. This was their favorite attraction thus far and Amanda wanted to see the Palace of the Arts in the daytime the next day. Huy told Ryan this was the new plan; to propose at the Palace of the Arts. The next day, they had tea time at Bloomingdales, walked Fisherman's Wharf and went to Palace of the Arts. Huy secretly gave Ryan his phone and camera so he could capture everything. Huy started shaking a little and Amanda asked "Babe are you cold??". Huy got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Amanda said yes and right after this, 2 swans swam over to the area they were standing. They went and bought lobster rolls to celebrate and the rest is history.
