Where is Grenada located?

Answer

Grenada is an island country located in the West Indies, in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It is the southernmost of the Windward Islands and is situated north of Trinidad and Tobago and northeast of Venezuela, making it the southernmost collection of the Windward Islands.

Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Grenada?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required for all international travelers. Please ensure it’s valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. A visa is not required for entry.

When should I book my flights and accommodations?

We recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 6 months in advance as April is a popular travel season.

Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) is the island’s main airport.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend the beautiful Silversands Grenada, where our wedding will be held. While we’ve reserved a block of rooms, they’re available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can book using our special rate code: “AHWED26.” If you’d like other options, additional nearby hotels are listed under the Travel tab on our website.

Yes! We've reserved rooms at Silversands Grand Anse. It is first come first serve when booking. You can book with our special rate using "AHWED26".

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

Taxis are readily available at the airport. We’ll also share preferred transportation options and any group shuttle details closer to the date.

What currency is used in Grenada?

Answer

The Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD) is the local currency, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted. Credit cards are also commonly used.

What events are happening during the weekend?

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Grenada enjoys a warm, tropical climate year-round, with average temperatures between 75–85°F (24–29°C). Expect plenty of sunshine, with the possibility of light passing showers.

What should I pack?

Answer

Lightweight clothes, swimsuits, sunscreen, and insect repellent are a must. Don’t forget comfy shoes for exploring—and of course, your wedding attire!

What is the dress code?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for seating and to ensure the celebration starts on time.

Will there be events other than the wedding day (welcome party, activities, etc.)?

Answer

Yes! We’re so excited to spend the weekend with you. We’ll kick things off with a Beach Day, followed by our Welcome Party on Friday, April 10. You can find all the details on our ‘Events’ page.

Is there a wedding registry or gift preference?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift of all to us! However, if you wish to bless us with a gift, we’ve created a registry which you can find under the Registry tab on our website.
