We went to see Malvern, Iowa’s firework show. We were out by a corn field to get the best view and when it started the get dark, fireflies came out of the fields. It was a beautiful night. When the fireworks had started we were cuddled up, and when we thought the finale had started; he proposed! Of course she said yes, and the rest of the night was full of happiness.

We met at a past job together, he was her supervisor. We started out as kind of friends, growing in friendship as time went on. We both realized we were goofy. When the right time came and we finally broke up with our toxic partners, we got to talking even more. Bonding over the toxic relationships, until eventually we found out we were a healthy relationship in each other.
