We met working at Eat N Park. Dylan was a cook at the time and I was managing and working takeout. He caught my attention many times but it wasn’t until his birthday approached in May and I finally decided to talk to him. I heard it was his birthday from another coworker. I took a slice of pie into the kitchen with a candle and told him everyone needs a birthday treat. After a couple weeks of talking and texting we finally went on our first date and I knew from the start he was who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
We were on vacation in the Outer Banks. What I had thought was just any regular Tuesday was not. We went to the lighthouse for the day. Upon arriving back to our hotel Dylan had told me that I needed to get ready for dinner but we were going to walk on the beach first. Naturally I gave him a hard time about walking on the beach in a dress before dinner. After getting ready we headed down our walkway to the beach. Before we reached the end of the walkway, Dylan’s parents were there waiting for us. To my surprise Dylan’s sister and niece jumped out and surprised us. They had made the drive down just for us and this special day. After that, they had told me that we would be taking family beach pictures (which is something I had been wanting each vacation). Mid photos I had turned around and there was Dylan on one knee. I couldn’t have been more surprised and impressed in all of his planning and hard work. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
