The Story Of Us

Dennis and Amanda met in high school in the year 2011. At this time, Dennis was a freshman and Amanda was a senior. They became best friends instantly, in fact in high school they called each other husband and wife (what a fortelling sign). The running joke is that Dennis always had a crush on Amanda, but Amanda didn't take notice until nearly 5 years later. In 2017, Amanda & Dennis finally reconnected first as friends then later as a couple. In 2018, Dennis moved in with Amanda in Chico, CA. At the end of 2020, they bought their first house together. In June 2021, Dennis "finally" asked Amanda to marry him. That leads us to now, September 17, 2022, where the two will become husband and wife.

The Proposal Story

6/23/2021

Dennis's engagement ring story: "I knew I wanted to propose before the grad party so we could announce it at the party. I knew what ring I wanted to get you, so I ordered it, but there was a shipping delay. I then ordered a second ring, but it also had a shipping delay, so I cancelled that one. I then bought just a temporary ring until the real engagement ring came in." When Dennis proposed, in order to 1. Get Amanda outside and 2. To have her distracted, he asked her to come look at this pomegranate. You can see in the proposal video she is about to turn around and ask him why the heck does she need to look at this but he answered the question by being on one knee.
