It was winter 2015. Amanda had plans to go to Colorado to visit friends and ski. A giant blizzard thwarted those plans. Amanda decided to go up to Portland, ME to go to few concerts and go skiing. At the Grateful Dead cover band show, Amanda stole Dennis' hat. The rest is history.
