Amanda and David met at Crossover Church’s Single Young Adults Group in January 2021. After quickly realzing that David was literally her new mailman in a tiny town called Elk, they now had a faithful conversation starter for after SYA (Single Young Adults) and between Sunday morning services. On April 2nd, 2021, David asked Amanda if she’d like to go out for lunch sometime, and she happily agreed! Since they weren’t available to go on this date until the following weekend, they introduced each other to their parents after church on Easter Sunday. Then, on April 11th, 2021, they went on their first date to Tubbs Hill in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. At the top of the hike on Tubbs Hill, David asked Amanda to be his girlfriend (she said yes!), and they walked back down the hill looking like the happiest, dorkiest two kids who knew they might just fall in love and whatever it looked like and however long it would take, they were just so excited for it! About 3 months later, David told Amanda he loved her for the first time, on the same evening of the day they shared their first kiss at the top of Mt. Spokane. Less than a month later, Amanda told David she loved him too, under the pergolas in the Rose Garden at Manito Park. 6 months down the road, David planned an all day date on December 11th, 2021, to take the day and go back to some of the places where they had had previous dates. They started with breakfast at Frank’s Diner, then went downtown to the waterfront, and then made their way to Manito Park, back to the pergolas in the Rose Garden, where David got down on his knee and asked Amanda to marry him!! Since then, they have been dreaming of and planning the special day where they get to marry each other and join in the covenant that God was so good and gracious to prepare them for. The wait was SO worth it, and they are so excited to share this special day with you!
