Why Autlán de Navarro? / Por qué Autlán de Navarro?

Amanda’s hometown for over 20 years, Autlán, is a small quaint mexican city located in western México. It is internationally known for their annual bullfighting carnival and cultural events where thousands of tourists gather to celebrate and enjoy this long preserved culture. Autlán is close to the pacific coast, for which residents experience humidity all year long (we have to add here something that Cooper said the first time he visited Autlán: Texas is more humid than this!!!!) Fortunately, the weather in December is really nice, fluctuating between 60 and 80 degrees, perfect for something like… a wedding? 🕺🏻 Need some advice for your trip? Esta ciudad es internacionalmente conocida por su carnaval taurino y eventos culturales donde miles de turistas se reúnen para celebrar y disfrutar de esta cultura la cual se ha preservado por casi 200 años. Autlán está cerca de la costa del pacífico, por lo que los residentes experimentan humedad durante todo el año. Located right at the entrance of the city, just 3 blocks away from the cathedral and 16 minutes away from the venue, Hotel Autlán is another option for you to book! ~ Ubicado en la entrada de la ciudad, a tan sólo 3 cuadras de la catedral y a 16 minutos del Rancho La Valentina, el Hotel Autlán es otra gran opción de hospedaje!

Flights and transportation / Vuelos y transporte

The closest airport to Autlán is located in the city of Guadalajara (GDL). Once in Guadalajara, there are numerous rental car companies for you to choose from, and the airport also has their own taxis that can take you all the way to Autlán. Travel time from GDL to Autlán is 2.5 hours. Please note that, once in Autlán, since it is a very small city, there are no Ubers available, only taxis, however, there is a local rental car company you can contact (https://rentcarautlan.com.mx/). The second closest airport is located in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco(🌴🌊), and it’s a 5 hour drive to Autlán, so if you are planning on taking adventage of your trip to our wedding, Puerto Vallarta is a great option for you! ~ El aeropuerto más cercano a Autlán se encuentra en la ciudad de Guadalajara (GDL). Una vez en Guadalajara, existen numerosas empresas renta de autos para elegir, y el aeropuerto también cuenta con sus propios taxis que pueden llevarte hasta Autlán. El tiempo de viaje de GDL a Autlán es de 2.5 horas. Ten en cuenta que, una vez en Autlán, al ser una ciudad muy pequeña, no hay Ubers disponibles, solo taxis y una compañía local de renta de autos (https://rentcarautlan.com.mx/). El segundo aeropuerto más cercano está ubicado en Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco (🌴🌊), el cual se encuentra a 5 horas manejando de Autlán, así que, si estás planeando aprovechar de tu viaje a Autlán por nuestra boda, ¡Puerto Vallarta es una excelente opción para ti!
