Collin and I met on Tinder during my Senior year of college, his first year of grad school. We messaged for a few weeks before meeting each other in person, swapping too many pictures of our pets to count. Our first date was at the infamous Tuscaloosa Sonic Drive-In, but Collin likes to say our real was at Cypress Inn a few days later. On both of our "first dates" we hung out for hours talking about movies, food, and Alabama football. When Collin officially asked me to be his girlfriend, he showed up at my apartment dressed in a seersucker suit with some yellow flowers, my favorite color. It was so sweet and thoughtful.
Collin and I wanted to get away from Orlando for just a couple days in late October. With both of us being Cast Members, we were able to get a great rate at the Disney hotel in Vero Beach for a few nights. Our only full day there on that trip, we hung out on the beach, had some margaritas, and relaxed all day. When it was time to get ready for dinner, Collin asked if I wanted to go on a walk on the beach beforehand. Not thinking anything of it, I of course said yes. When Collin and I travel together we collect shells and rocks of places that we've been. As we were looking for the perfect shell, I was picking up pieces of trash along the beach. I was a few paces in front of him with a hand literally full of trash looking at a pile of shells. He said "Well what about this one?" and I turned around to see him on one knee. We joke that it was the smoothest thing he's ever done or will ever do. Once I set down my trash, he proposed and I of course said yes! A couple down the beach saw it happening and snapped some photos of us, it was so kind!
