Hers: There are plenty of more romantic stories than to say we met online, but well, we met online. Bumble, thank you. I was living downtown Manhattan and Colin in Jersey City, and boom, in the midst of a crazy Covid world, I found my soulmate. We must have crossed paths several times, but it was on the first date, I texted my friend and said, "I'm in love." In the moment, it seemed crazy, but sitting across from each other at a romantic table by the water, eating mussels and drinking Rose wine in the heatwave of Summer 2020, I knew Colin would be my forever & I never looked back. Not to mention, Colin even joked about going to Jared to get a ring so I think he felt the same ; ) It's been the best adventure I've been on so far & I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. His: So, there I was starting my day with coffee, cereal, and Bumble. I open the app not expecting much, but then see a match from Amanda thinking “Damn!!...this girl wants to talk to me?!” Not only did she want to talk, but we peppered each other’s phones with messages learning so much about each other in so little time. I had a feeling that this was it. That feeling turned to certainty once my love for Lebanese food came up and more importantly, our mutual love for Seinfeld. Finally…a woman that gets my sense of humor and has an amazing one herself. For me, it was love at first text…f**king Bumble…who would have guessed it, right? After two days of talking non-stop and not really knowing when we would finally meet, I had to make it happen one way or another. I was away for work in Syracuse and after my last procedure I told her I was seeing her that day no matter what. Catching her off guard, I hit the road. I drove four hours straight home, got ready in record time, and took the next ferry straight to the seaport to meet my future bride to be.
