We're so excited to celebrate our big day with you!!

After talking via text and phone calls for about a month we both thought we would meet up and have a casual date. We went to Go Burrito in Salisbury and Cody showed off his car (oooh so fancy 🤣). Then we went to the movies and saw IT Chapter 2. We wound up snuggling in the theater and enjoying each other's company. After the movie, neither of us were quite ready for the date to end, so we went to Walmart to get a few car and camera supplies for Cody. After killing another hour and it being 1am we decided it was time to go our separate ways. Cody invited me to a car meet in Anderson, SC the following day and it was all over from there.

We went on several more dates in the following 2 weeks. Cody constantly told me he could see a future with me, but when I asked if he wanted to just make things official, he told me "I don't want to move too fast". (Okkkaaayyyy...) Well Saturday, September 28th we decided to have an early morning breakfast picnic at the Boardwalk area in University City. I brought homemade banana chocolate chip muffins, yogurt, lemonade, and plates/napkins to match Cody's car. After eating and enjoying the sunrise, Cody decided it was time to ask "How's it sound to be my girl?". Ummmm... what?!?! YESSS!!!

Cody invited Amanda to go on a vacation to Fontana with him for a car club meet, and of course Amanda said yes. We headed up early Friday morning and spent the entire drive singing and dancing in the car. Cody will tell you now that in those moments he wanted to tell Amanda that he loved her.... BUT HE DIDN'T! Friday night we were in our cabin and Cody pulled Amanda off the couch, turned on Yours by Russell Dickerson and we really danced together for the first time. Cody serenaded Amanda the entire song. Later that night as we were heading to bed, Amanda sleepily said "Goodnight. I love you". (What?!?) Cody just smiled really big and said goodnight. For 2 days Cody never returned the I love you. He states now that he didnt want Amanda to feel like it was just a response. He wanted her to know that when he said it, he really meant it. FINALLY, on the drive back home Cody said I love you. (Ask him the first time he felt like he loved Amanda though.... He just "didn't want to scare Amanda off.) And now we say I love you every chance we get!

Cody entered a photo contest through JP Photography and won a free mini session! Cody told Amanda that they were doing a couples shoot just so we could have some nice pictures together. Jordan, our photographer, kept posing us and taking shots at Franke Liske Park. For one pose, he had Amanda look away and when she turned back Jordan "Iced" Cody. Amanda was laughing because she had wanted to Ice Cody and had mentioned it but never did it. Jordan asked Amanda to toss the used Smirnoff bottle and when she turned back to Cody he had a beautiful ring and asked her to Marry him. Of course, the answer was Yes.
