We’re getting married!

Cody grew up in Duxbury, MA while I grew up in Eastchester, NY. Cody ended up going to college at Pace University (about 20 minutes from my childhood home) to play football, and befriended a high school friend of mine who was also on the team (Mike T!). During our college years, our paths crossed due to this connection, but we were both always in other relationships so nothing came of it. Fast forward to August 2014 (a few years after college). Cody came to NYC to celebrate his friend Kyle’s birthday (another Pace football teammate), and my friends & I coincidentally ended up at the same bar. I saw Cody, waved him over, and chose this smooth pick up line: “Corey! I remember you!” Totally not his name - & also just so happens to be his younger brothers name. Cody let me call him Corey for most of the night until Mike corrected me! But it’s safe to say he didn’t really mind :). That night Cody told me he would follow me anywhere (better pick up line than mine hands down). We have been together ever since. We got engaged the evening of February 10, 2021 on the beach in Miami under a clear starry sky - two days before my 30th birthday. I ruined all of Cody’s proposal plans because “I want to be comfy and wear my overalls...let’s go somewhere casual for dinner” - very Amanda of me - so Cody put on a pineapple Hawaiian shirt and decided he’d just wing it! It was sweet and funny and perfectly us. We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with all of our favorite humans this summer! Cheers to adding more chapters to our love story, and sharing our joy with all of you. xo
