Our wedding venue sister property... Have lunch at the Lawn, an outdoor restaurant overlooking the Bay; or just grab a drink and relax in one of the many Adirondack chairs on the great lawn.
Grab a coffee or a Del's Lemonade and start your morning with a stroll along the famous Cliff Walk, with panoramic views of Narragansett Bay on one side and the rear view of some of the grandest mansions on the other. There are several entrances and options for parking. We like to begin at the Chanler Inn on Memorial Blvd. The entire path is 3.5miles in length.

One of the many great restaurants along the wharf area. Yummy drinks and bites and people watching.
Brenton Point is on Ocean Drive. Plan a picnic (food truck on-site) fly a kite (available for purchase,) or just enjoy the gorgeous views. Easton Beach is just over the town line in Middletown. The on-site snack bar is famous for its lobster rolls, or cross the street to the famous Flo-s Clam Shack for some authentic seafood and drinks. You can't go wrong with either. A little farther out is Second and Third Beaches. All have plenty of parking.
This is another quintessential Newport landmark restaurant in the wharf area. Dine indoors or sit outside and watch the boats go by as you sip a beverage and enjoy some clam chowder or the raw bar.
Newport is known for being the location of some of the most famous summer "cottages" of the wealthiest and most prosperous families in 19th century America. You can tour one or more of these homes. Perhaps the most well-known is the Breakers (built by the Vanderbilts), but there are a dozen such mansions open to the public including the Marble House, the Elms, Rosecliff Manor and more. Take a tour and see for yourself how the titans of industry once lived.
Spend a few hours relaxing on the water with a harbor cruise. There are many cruise options from the wharf area, all of which allow you to relax and soak up the sweeping views of Castle Hill, Newport Bridge, Fort Adams, and more as you motor or sail around the Newport harbor.
Here's another great bar with live music, centrally located in Newport at the corner of Lower Thames and America's Cup. Get your dancing shoes on!
