Are Kids Invited?

Answer

Yes! Kids will be welcome at the ceremony, dinner, and reception. However, please do check your invitation to see who is included. We've had to prioritize the children of members of our immediate family. If you notice that your invitation accounts only for you and your significant other, and you were planning or hoping to bring you kiddos, you can reach out to Austin or Amanda to let them know.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Bring a guest! You only get one though, so choose carefully. Also, make sure to indicate on your RSVP whether or not you are bringing a plus one.

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is Colorado; wear what makes you feel good, whether it's stilletos or flannels. We want you to be comfortable. Do be aware that while this will be in August, Colorado weather can vary significantly depending on the time of day, so it's worth bringing an extra layer in case things cool down. Temperatures up on the mountain also tend to be a few degrees cooler than in Golden. The average temperature for August 22nd on Lookout Mountain is 68 degrees F with a high of 86 and a low of 50. Sunset is around 8:30pm. Finally, Boettcher Mansion is situated right across from the Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve, and the timeline should allow for time to explore some of the walking trails on the property. If this is of interest to you, it might be worth bringing an extra pair of shoes that you can change into and that are suitable for walking.

How should I plan on getting from my hotel/ AirBnB to the weekend activities/venue?

Answer

If you are coming from out of town, you have a couple of options. While Ubers and Lyfts are readily available, if you're interested in getting out and exploring the area, it would probably be best to book a rental car. In terms of getting to and from the Venue, if you choose to drive, there is plenty of parking available at the venue. However, please be aware that alcohol will be served at the venue, the altitude can significantly impact inebriation, and the roads between the venue and Golden can be a bit confusing for those unfamiliar with driving in the mountains. For these reasons, we highly recommend that you consider assigning a designated driver or arrange for an Uber or Lyft for transportation. As of now now prices for an Uber or Lyft from Golden to the venue are roughly 20-25 dollars.
