Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 31, 2025 so we have enough time to notify our vendor team. If we do not hear from you by then we will have to mark you as a no.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed out when you RSVP online.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children under the age of 5 will not be permitted on the venue property. For children over the age of 5, please be aware that our venue is a working farm and there is a canal located next to the reception area so please be mindful and to keep an eye on them. Thank you for understanding.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is Semi-Formal (cocktail attire). We also encourage our guests to wear Fall colors (dark reds, oranges/rust, dark greens, navy blue, plums, browns, etc.) if possible! What we recommend for men: suit & tie or khakis and a nice button up with dress shoes. What we recommend for women: cocktail dresses, nice jumpsuits, suit & tie or khakis and a nice button up. Please no jeans or sneakers (sneakers are ok for children).

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:30pm to allow ample time to park and find your seat. We will promptly begin the ceremony at 4:00pm. If you are not in your seat by 4:00pm we will kindly ask you to wait outside until the ceremony is done.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged to ensure our photographer is able to do their best work in capturing our big day. We kindly ask you to respect our wishes and keep personal cameras and cell phones tucked away until cocktail hour. Thank you for understanding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking is located directly next to the venue! We will have parking attendants assisting with parking.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be inside while the reception will be outside. Please dress accordingly.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing canned/bottled beer, wine, and other canned alcoholic beverages. If you plan to drink, please drink responsibly and utilize Uber/Lyft if necessary.

What is the best way to get to your venue?

Answer

If traveling from Chico: Follow signs to get to CA-32 W. You will drive through downtown Orland and will continue straight. CA-32 W will turn into Newville Road once you drive through the main town of Orland. Continue driving straight on Newville Road until you see our wedding sign and balloons marking the driveway to turn down into. If traveling from Sacramento International Airport: Follow signs for I-5 N towards Redding. Continue on I-5 N and take exit 619 for CA-32 toward Orland/Chico. Turn left onto CA-32 W. CA-32 W will turn into Newville Road once you drive through the main town of Orland. Continue driving straight on Newville Road until you see our wedding sign and balloons marking the driveway to turn down into. If traveling from the north: Follow signs for I-5 S towards Sacramento. Continue on I-5 S and take exit 619 for CA-32 toward Orland/Chico. Turn left onto CA-32 W. CA-32 W will turn into Newville Road once you drive through the main town of Orland. Continue driving straight on Newville Road until you see our wedding sign and balloons marking the driveway to turn down into. For all guests: There are two entrances for our venue, The Barn at Old Colony. The first one you will pass will strictly be for vendor access. Continue driving for less than a quarter mile and you will see the second entrance for guests. There will be a wedding sign with balloons marking the correct entrance. If you pass Raging Bull Vineyard you have gone too far.
