AMI offers a variety of rental homes across the island, along with several hotel options. We suggest staying in Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, or Holmes Beach. If you choose accommodations in Bradenton, keep in mind that traffic onto and off the island can be heavy over Memorial Day weekend. For those flying in, Tampa and Sarasota are the closest airports. It’s best to arrange an airport pickup or rent a car. Golf carts are a popular way to get around the island, though regular cars are perfectly fine to use as well. TIP: We found that many rentals were cheaper on rental sites as opposed to AirBnb. If you find a house on AirBnb: 1. Take note of the rental name 2. Google the rental name to determine what rental management site it is on 3. Review/compare on rental management site with AirBnb 4. Book the lower dollar option

Free Anna Maria Island Shuttle Service

The free Anna Maria Island (AMI) Trolley runs daily from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM, operating every 20 minutes between Anna Maria City Pier and Coquina Beach along Gulf Drive. This Manatee County service is the main free transport option, with stops every 2-4 blocks. Operates 365 days a year from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM, spanning the entire island from the City Pier to Coquina Beach. Real-Time Tracking: The MCATmyStop app allows users to track the trolley in real-time.

Other Modes of Transportation

If you are flying, you can fly into St. Pete/Clearwater or Tampa Airport. It's approximately an hour drive to the island. You can Uber, rent a car or Turo a car. We typically use Turo. On the island, in addition to the shuttle, you may drive, walk or rent a gulf cart. Note that there is free valet at the venue (tips welcome).
