I met Amanda through basketball, like how I meet everyone else in my life. But unlike everyone else, she’s remained my best friend for almost 2 decades. Who would’ve thought that a 6’1” Asian chick and a 5 foot nothing white girl would be tied together by invisible string. I would say I love you more than you love Taylor Swift, but I’m gonna one up you and say I love you more than I love Taylor Swift.

Amanda looked at me and thought that I was a bitch. I was someone who cussed like a true sailor but she was captivated. We became friends and then I got threatened with strikes to fix my language. 752 strikeouts later here we are.

I met Adam on the first day of college at the basketball courts in the residence hall west gym - from the first time we joked around I knew we were gonna be best of buds. I’m glad to call Adam one of my closest friends and I know Amanda is getting an absolute catch - cheers to Adam and Amanda!

I met Adam on the first day of school. A tall lanky figure with luscious brown wavy hair appeared from the shadows to greet me. At first glance with his cheeky smile I knew we would be best buds. We exchanged introductions as higher life forms often do, and the rest is history.

The first time I met Amanda, she was a smole, smart, and outgoing 7-year old playing basketball at my mom’s skills training. She gave the best bear hugs and never met a stranger. Amanda has a way of making everyone feel like the most important, special human in the room. And nothing has changed to this day ❤️

Adam was in the same class as me in first grade and thought he was too cool to be my friend, but his mom forced him to because she taught with my mom.

I don’t remember the first time I met Amanda but I do know she had a big goofy grin on her face and no matter the situation she always was gleeful. There's not much I can say about her that everyone doesn’t know but I'll at least go over the highlights: the time she talked to a carjacker about Star Wars while he was jacking the car; the time she was almost kidnapped by a cult; the 50 million times she stepped on the court and showed me how amazing she is (including taking my ankles); and all the times I got to be around that amazing personality. In the end, I’m glad to call her a friend and I wouldn’t trade her for the world (she’d trade me for some Taylor Swift tickets though)!

I met Adam on the second day of college at the basketball courts. Where I unknowingly became his first OP in college for not inviting him to a party that I invited all the other guys to. Something like that. But from first glance, I knew we’d be buds forever and roommates from time to time!

I can’t vividly remember the first time I met Amanda, but I do know she gave me zero choice to NOT be her friend. She was so loud and gave the best hugs that I swear my lungs were being compressed. Amanda has been one of my best friends for so many years now, and I wouldn’t trade our friendship for the world. Can’t wait to see you get married, but just remember you will forever be my movie date 🫶🏾

I met Amanda when she applied to UT’s Texas Ladies in undergrad on Ally’s recommendation. Legend has it, when Amanda first saw me she was determined to become one of my best friends and that’s exactly what happened! Amanda, Ally, and I quickly became a little trio and I couldn’t be more grateful for a spirit group that brought us together!

I’ve known Amanda my whole life, her parents and my mom had already been long-time friends when I was born. We lost touch for a while but we were fortunate enough to be brought back together when my mom and her Uncle Peter started dating.

I met Adam a few months into freshman year in the dorms with our current group of friends. It’s amazing to meet people freshman year and grow closer year by year and now seeing him getting married. Can’t wait to see what else is in store for this grill dad stud and his wife to be.

Amanda and I were almost roommates! I was lucky enough to meet this genius in college. UT matched us as a prospective roommate pair, but silly me went my own route and got a solo room. Luckily, fate wanted us to be friends, and on the way to Austin on a Megabus, I saw her reading the same book I was for my history class and so we started discussing it. The rest is “history”, and she is such a light in my life & a precious friend. Adam, you’re getting a great roommate!

I met Amanda through intramural basketball during our freshman year. She never missed an open three-pointer or team dinner, and she has been a bottle of joy for the past five years I've known her.

My mom has been best friends with Amanda's mom since they were 13! Amanda and I have grown up as "cousins" and we will forever be family.

Like most things in life I don’t remember exactly when I met Adam but we both got along right away (at least that’s how I like to remember it), Adam tried to teach me how to play guitar (I failed), we both tried to get jacked (we both failed), we both got drunk and tried to avoid legal consequences (again we both failed), we’ve spent many nights on each other’s couches and enjoyed many a weekend shindig with the whiskey and brews flowing freely and I hope there will be many more to come (assuming Amanda keeps allowing me to stay over).
