Deception Pass State Park

If you have a day to spare, I recommend taking the ferry out to Friday Harbor from Anacortes. The hour-long ride is very smooth and scenic through the San Juan Islands, and Friday Harbor is an adorable town with lots of cute little shops and restaurants right where the ferry drops you off. There's no need for a car!

Whale watching anyone? San Juan Islands are home to 2 orca pods so if you want an amazing wildlife experience go check them out!
