August 7, 2021 Amanda was leading worship at an event when Tim was in the audience. He remembers meeting her that night, but at the time it was just a brief interaction — a moment that would later become the beginning of something much bigger. August 11, 2023 (Two Years Later) Their paths crossed again at another worship night, where they were able to have a longer conversation. That simple moment sparked a special affection in Tim for Amanda, and from then on he began praying intentionally and seeking guidance from friends and family about pursuing her. A month later, he sent her a message — but the conversation didn’t go very far. What was going on?! January 16, 2024 (5 Months Later) Amanda wished Tim a happy birthday — a simple message that unexpectedly turned into daily conversations, long phone calls, and eventually Tim asking Amanda on their very first date. April 28, 2024 At sunset on the waterfront, Tim officially asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. That evening he presented her with a heartfelt letter he had written 3 months before they had even gone on their first date. What started as a prayer journal entry to God became a written request asking for the opportunity to get to know Amanda. By the end of the letter, he wrote with confidence that he couldn’t wait for their future ahead. Around the same time Tim had written that prayer, Amanda received a prophetic word that someone was “really praying hard for her,” and that this man would one day be her ministry partner in music. Some stories really can only be written by God. August 30, 2025 At one of their favorite places — a peaceful lake across from Amanda’s childhood home, where they had shared many picnic dates, prayers, and meaningful conversations — Tim got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. Together they often say their story feels like a beautiful reminder that with God, dreams really do come true. We’re so grateful that God wrote our story — and that you’re here to celebrate the next chapter with us.
