Amanda and Mandell grew up in Chino Hills and even attended the same elementary and later the same high school together. Despite walking the same halls, the two had never met. It wasn't until the world was coming out of quarantine that the pair officially crossed paths at their local Kingdom Hall. As the world returned to in-person activities, a new friendship began between Amanda and Madison (Mandell's sister). As the two became good friends, wherever Maddie went, her brother joined. Although there was mutual attraction between Amanda and Mandell, the two did not share their feelings for each other right away for fear of losing their new-found friendship. Inevitably, and quite accidentally, the truth of their feelings was revealed. On December 12, 2023, Mandell surprised Amanda in front of her house with a question. As he leaned against his car, with a bouquet of flowers in hand, Mandell asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. Through their courtship, their love blossomed and they became best friends. From trying new restaurants, Disneyland dates, movie nights and weekly Bible studies, to cheering on their favorite sports teams, the two discovered how easy their love felt. Ready for the next chapter of their lives, Mandell set out to plan the perfect proposal. Where else, but on a golf course? On June 17, 2025, after Mandell hit a perfect shot onto the green, he sent Amanda up to the next tee box to search for a golf ball he knew was not there. Instead of a golf ball, she found the carefully placed rose petals, candles, and the message displayed: "Will you marry me?" Mandell got down on one knee, asked Amanda to marry him, and of course she said yes. Just like that, they were fiancés. As they plan their dream wedding, they, along with their families, look forward to celebrating their love among family and friends. On Friday, April 24, 2026, again, where else but on a golf course, Mandell and Amanda will begin their next chapter as husband and wife. We cannot wait to celebrate our upcoming marriage with the ones who have supported us, both individually and as a couple, as we continue our story.
