Zack and Amanda have known each other for about 14 years, but didn't discover their love until much later. Zack and Amanda met when Amanda met her father Steve Hatt at the age of 14. (Fun fact: Amanda's Dad has known Zack longer than he's known Amanda. Steve actually has known Zack since Zack was about 5.) Zack thought Amanda was an annoying little teenager, and Amanda thought Zack was a rude boy. Because of this, Amanda and Zack didn't talk very much the first few years. After a few years, Amanda moved up to Washington. Zack had a girlfriend at the time, but Amanda felt something special with him. Amanda, not wanting to be a homewrecker, denied her feelings for Zack and looked for any reason not to like him. Zack on the other hand, realized that the relationship he was in wasn't what he wanted. Zack, now single, tried to ask Amanda on a date, and Amanda refused. She said that she would rather be friends with him and get to know him so she could know if she could trust him. This went on for a year..one whole year...Zack would get denied by Amanda, and Amanda would refuse her feelings for him...(Amanda is writing this, and honestly, I don't know how he chased me for a whole year getting rejected every time he tried bringing up anything.) One day, Amanda had come back from a trip and was feeling very depressed. Zack called her up, and told her to go hang out with him because it was a beautiful day, and he hadn't seen her in a while. After much refusing, she decided to go. While they were hanging out, she realized how much she had missed him and how much fun she was having, Even though she was having a very depressing off day, Zack still loved her just the way she was, regardless of how off she seemed. And then, Amanda finally decided to just let things happen, that is, she let him kiss her, and he just so happened to try kissing her for the first time that day. The rest is history :)
