Carlos and Harley's Fresh-Mex Cantina (C&H Fresh-Mex Cantina) started with a vision to bring amazing Tex-Mex food to the Ogden Valley (the OV). For years, satisfied customers, locals and tourists alike, have enjoyed this vision turned-reality. What is Tex-Mex? It is a term used to describe a regional American cuisine that blends food products available in the United States and the culinary creations of Mexican-Americans influence by the cuisines of Mexico. Tex-Mex cuisine originated hundreds of years ago when Spanish-Mexican recipes combined with Anglo fare. "Tex-Mex" first entered the English language as a nickname (an abbreviation) for the Texas Mexican Railway in Southern Texas in 1875.
New World Distillery
New World Distillery is an on-site manufacturing facility specializing in super-premium, site-distilled spirits. They have a welcoming retail store front that looks out onto the production floor so that visitors can always see where the real magic takes place. They offer sales of product and branded merchandise, sprits glassware, cocktail mixers, tonics and more. Their public tours are on Fridays and Saturdays at 12, 2 and 5. We recommend registration through the website to ensure a spot. Their 2016 product release was their three time, award winning Oomaw Gin, a Dutch-style gin with a juniper forward profile and 8 essential mellowing botanicals. Their Ogden Valley Vodka and our Wasatch Blossom Utah Tart Cherry Liqueur are top sellers. Visit them Tuesday - Saturday from 11 to 6.
