Cooper River Bridge Run

The Cooper River Bridge Run is a world-class 10K foot race and it will take place on April 6th (The day of the wedding!!!) ... it is the 3rd largest in the United States. The race begins in Mount Pleasant, traverses the Cooper River/Ravenel Bridge and ends in downtown Charleston. Please keep in mind if you are staying in Mount Pleasant you will not be able to cross the Ravenel Bridge to get into Historic Charleston until 11-12pm (this is when the last racers normally cross the finish line). Hotels in the Charleston Area

Many of the hotels in the historic downtown Charleston area are expensive due to the peak season and the cooper river bridge run. Please check Expedia and/or Priceline and look into other areas outside of historic Charleston which will be less expensive such as West Ashley, Mount Pleasant (see my note about the cooper river bridge run), Summerville or Charleston Airport area hotels. Flight

Charleston International Airport

Charleston International Airport is about 15 to 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston (where our wedding venue is located). Ground Transportation is available at Charleston International Airport from early morning until after the last arriving flight each night. All ground transportation is located in the center median outside baggage claim. In addition to airport taxi and shuttle services, hotel shuttles, public transportation and off-site rental car shuttles are located in front of the terminal.
