Do we have to stay at The Wyndham Alltra All Inclusive Resort?

Answer

No, you are more than welcome to stay at a different location, however, since it is where we are having the wedding, and because it is an all inclusive resort, for the day of the wedding, they do charge a day pass fee for non guests. The fee is $125 for the day, but you do have the ability to eat and drink at the resort’s restaurants and use the pool and services of the resort for that day. Will it be hot?

Answer

Yes! It is a tropical location and average temperatures this time of year are around 80-85 degrees. There are a few pools at the resort and also a private beach to cool off! The rooms all have AC, but the common areas are outside, or are open air flow with covering.

How long should I stay in Cancún Mexico for?

Answer

It is completely up to you how long you stay! We are going to be in Cancún at the resort from February 21st - February 28th. So however long you are comfortable being there for!

What do I wear to the wedding?

Answer

It will be a formal beach wedding and we ask that you dress nicely. It doesn’t have to be black tie formal, but no shorts and/or T shirts or anything white. You will likely want to wear flowing, breathable materials as it will be hot. For the ceremony on the beach, you are welcome to go barefoot in the sand if you’d like! The reception will be on a terrace, (so no sand.)

Should I exchange money before I go?

Answer

We always exchange money before we leave the United States either through our bank, or a local currency conversion place since it does tend to have better exchange rates. However, the airport does have currency conversion, as well as locally on the island. You can also use your ATM card there to withdraw local currency, but just make sure you tell your bank you’re leaving the country and for how long you will be there for. In addition, be sure to let your credit card companies know you’re traveling abroad and what countries you’ll be in.

Is there a wedding rehearsal?

Answer

We are not having a wedding party, so we are not having a wedding rehearsal. We just want you all to relax, dance, and enjoy yourselves! We just ask that you come to the wedding!

Can I drink the water at the resort?

Answer

At the resort, yes! They filter their water at the resort for drinking and for the ice as well. All drinks, including bottled water, are free with your stay. A helpful tip would be to bring a drink coozie or tumbler with you since it is very hot by the pool or on the beach, and your drinks will get warm fast!
