Amanda and Clay met on July 4th, 2017 in Tuscaloosa, AL. As they walked along the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk to the firework show, they shared laughs and stories of themselves. Clay is the epitome of a Southern Gentleman and Amanda couldn't help but fall madly in love with his kind and generous heart. Clay showered Amanda with thoughtful gestures and gifts to show his love for her. Amanda was living in Birmingham at the time while Clay lived in Tuscaloosa, but the distance did not stop their love from growing stronger each passing day. They planned for Amanda to move to Tuscaloosa the following April, but after visiting Amanda's sister in Nashville for New Year's 2018, Clay knew that's where their love story would continue to grow. It didn't take much to convince Amanda to move to Nashville, so they did! Clay accepted a job soon after their decision and moved a month before Amanda. Preparing themselves for the distance to finally end, the month of being 3 hours apart was long for each of them. Making a home together in Nashville was not short of the usual struggles, but it was easier than expected. During that time their relationship grew and they fell deeper in love with each other. In December 2018, Clay decided he was ready to ask Amanda to be his forever. He ordered the ring and it arrived on New Year's Eve. Clay didn't have anything planned regarding how he was going to propose, so he thought why not do it on New Year's?! With the fireworks and music note dropping in the background, when the clock struck midnight, Clay got down on one knee! Amanda was EXTREMELY surprised and over joyed, crying happy tears as she said yes to forever! Amanda and Clay got to celebrate that night with family and friends that were in town for the holiday. They are so excited for this next chapter in their story and hope you can make it to their wedding!
