We're getting married!

There were plenty of reasons to be in Athens, GA on 12/31/2021, New Year’s Eve parties included, but meeting each other ended up being the best one. We had met briefly before, but everything changed that night, where we spent the entire evening talking and barely noticing anyone else. What felt like a fun New Year’s Eve quickly became something real. Even living three and a half hours apart didn’t slow us down. We took turns making the drive and finding every excuse to spend more time together. Those early months were a mix of long drives, late-night conversations, and an easy connection that made the distance feel temporary. From that New Year’s Eve to now, every step since has brought us here, and we can’t wait for what’s next.

Back in Athens, where our story began, Benton planned the perfect surprise. We started at Cali n Titos, the spot of our very first date, and couldn’t help but laugh remembering that night. After grabbing a bite, we wandered through North Campus. Eventually, we found a quiet spot tucked under some trees. We sat down and reminisced on the memories we shared in Athens. Then Benton asked the question, and everything else faded away. It was simple, meaningful, and exactly how we wanted it to be, just the two of us, back where it all started. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you and can’t wait to share the day with all our favorite people. See you in September!
