This ceremony consists of friends and family rubbing a paste on the bride and groom; the traditional meaning of Maiyan is to cleanse the skin and create a glow! Traditionally this ceremony involves "cleaning" the bride in preparation for the wedding day. Appetizers will be served after the ceremony This is a family friendly event, kids are welcome!
Jaggo

Its Jaggo time! Let the party begin! What does the Jaggo ceremony mean? It means “wake up”. It is a celebration by the maternal families of both the Bride and the Groom. The families arrive at the wedding venue with much fanfare. They also sing and dance. The female relatives take turns carrying a gagger (a decorated earthen pot lit with candles) while singing and dancing. Along with the earthen pot, people dance with a decorated stick with Bells attached. Dinner will be served during the event, followed by music and dancing. Family friendly event

All persons must hvae their heads covered. Clean Ramals(bandana) are available for use at the temple. Women, no bare legs or mid section. No open dresses. Shawls are ok to cover head. The moment is here! Please arrive about 9:15 to the Gurdwara Bride and groom will arrive shortly after, with the arrival of the Barat. There will be some pre ceremony activities followed by the Milni(Bride and Grooms families meeting outside) and tea. The Ceremony will begin at 11 with lunch being served afterwards at 12:30 Following wedding photos and lunch, those who would like to join us for the Doli, will meet the bride and groom, and head to the Brides house together.
