Indian attire is entirely optional for Punjabi ceremony. If you choose to wear Indian attire, here's some information and lingo :) For womenswear, lehengas can be worn which is a 2-piece dress, or Indian suits can be worn which is a pair of trousers and a tunic. Lehengas or Indian suits usually come with chunni (scarf) that you can use to cover your head during the Punjabi ceremony. If you choose not to go with a Lehenga, please bring a scarf for the ceremony. For menswear, a kurta pajama can be worn which is a two piece suit. Whether or not you choose to wear Indian wear for the ceremony and events, bandanas will be provided for you for the Punjabi ceremony.
If you don't have a chance to make a quick trip to India prior to our wedding, don't sweat! Plenty of options for Lehengas and kurta pajamas to choose from are online for our Indian events (although of course not required). Feel free to check out Lashkaraa, Aza Fashions, Nazranda, Amazon, Etsy, the Saree Room, Kalki Fashion, Panash India, and many more options!
As much as we love to watch your children run and play, this is a adults only kind of day :)
