We met the New Years eve of 2018 going into the year of 2019. It was actually at his fraternity's party (KA) and we had met once before where he asked me to dance, but I was pulled away from him right after. So anyways we met that night, talked for a few hours and honestly the rest is history from there. Its just the common story of he thought she was cute and she thought he was cute lol
Willis's mom planned a whole graduation party for him and invited both families over for it. I really did believe it was a graduation party...or trust me my outfit would have been way better for that day and nails done! But anyways I was just playing a yard game with some of the kids and before I knew it Willis was calling for everyone's attention...that's when I started to think "oh my goodness this it, there is no way he would give a speech if it wasn't to propose! He hates talking in front of large groups!" Then right as I was thinking that he starts to turn to me and tells me all this sweet stuff (I won't bore you with the details) but I will give you one line that I thought was a pretty smooth move... he says, "I remember you asking me all these questions throughout my last semester like did you do your homework, have you studied, etc. and now I have just one question for you.. (he got on one knee and asked) will you marry me?" Now y'all I'm gonna be honest I think he really only got out the words will you and I tackled him with the biggest hug and a loud YES! But anyways that's all I really have to say about that... :)
Well you already know that we met once at the KA house and danced, which is actually the song we will be dancing to at the wedding. You also know that we officially met and hit it off at the KA New Year's Eve party and then a year and half later we were engaged. So let me fill in the holes from that big time gap as well as what life has brought us since the engagement. Let's see we moved in together at the McNeese apartments a little after a year of dating, then moved into a wayy better place, its a nice duplex with only one set of neighbors and in a pretty nice neighborhood. We also got a cat named Bradley and he is both our little cuddle buddy... as Willis says "the homeboy is pretty cool" lol! We have evacuated for two hurricanes and yes with our cat too, can't leave little man behind. Willis got a really good job this year with a company called Southern Pipelines and is in the managerial training program so look out for that promotion! Oh he also got a new truck, its a really pretty 2019 GMC and is a huge upgrade from is old Chevy. I have one year left of college so next May is the busiest one yet since I'll be finishing up my spring semester, then graduating and a week after that getting married! But honestly I think that is the majority of our big milestones or at least the ones I can remember, hope y'all enjoyed the short story!
