Lisbon Airport (LIS) is the closest airport to the venue at approximately 45 minutes away. If you decide to land in Porto, it is about a 3 hour drive from the venue. Amalie and Nathan will be flying into Lisbon the weekend before the wedding. More details to come!

Portugal is a small country and very easy to explore by car, so we recommend getting a rental car if you can make it work! Some recommended car rental companies in Portugal include; Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Guerin, Sixt and Klass Wagen.

Uber, Bolt, or taxi are options to get to Quinta from Lisbon. From downtown Lisbon, an Uber will take about an hour. The trip is a little shorter from the Lisbon Airport. Bolt is generally 10-20% cheaper than Uber for standard rides, but prices vary by city and circumstances. Uber and Bolt are typically cheaper than local taxis. If you are planing on staying in the downtown district of Lisbon, getting back there from the Quinta may be a bit more of a challenge, especially late at night. Our venue is in a remote part of the countryside and Uber/Bolt may not be available. A Local cab service can be arranged well in advance. The ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is expected to come into effect in Q4 2026. The official launch date is to be announced at least 6 months prior. When ETIAS comes in effect, third country nationals will need to pass the ETIAS pre-screening checks to book travel to participating European nations, including Canadians. The ETIAS is valid for up to 3 years or until your passport expires, which ever comes first. The ETIAS application fee is about 12$ CAD.
