His Story: On a rainy October night, we didn’t feel like cooking so we ordered pizza and wings and decided to have a movie night in. While indulging on some delicious pizza and hot wings I looked over and saw Amy crunching down on a perfectly cleaned chicken wing and I knew from that moment, she was the one. Her Story: There were many moments throughout our relationship where I thought, “I don’t think I could learn to live without this.” But if I had to narrow it down to a single moment that solidified my decision was one day late February, I was tired and had a rough day. We had gone to the store that day to make dinner. And I decided I really wanted a new card game. So I made dinner and let him play his game. We decided drinking was a good idea. The game was for 4+ people, but I wanted to give it a shot just the two of us. In the 30 minutes we played just the two of us, I had laughed so hard I snorted, wheezed, cried and lost my voice. I can’t remember another time where I laughed so much before I met Garrick. And in that moment I realized that I’ve shared more laughs in the year I’ve known him, than in the lifetime I’ve lived without him. And I knew that as long as I continued to love him, we would continue to have moments like that one we had just had.
