This is a few miles long running/walking/biking path on the Downtown side of the Congaree River, also along the Columbia Canal, with beautiful scenery. There is a staircase that goes up to an apartment complex (The Esplanade at Canalside) where there are a few restaurants along the river. Very pretty at sunset.
If you’re craving coffee, you gotta try this place! It’s a locally owned favorite and Zoe (Logan’s sister) is the manager here - they have the best coffee beans and homemade syrups. Try the Honeysuckle latte, my personal favorite! Take your coffee to go to explore the thrift store and pottery studio down the street, and go on a walk along the Cayce Riverwalk (Three Rivers Greenway).
This public greenway along the West Columbia side of the Congaree Rivers offers beautiful views of the river and is where our wedding venue, Stone River, resides. Nice and sunny for a morning or afternoon walk. There are multiple entrances to park along the greenway.
Zoo and garden with lots to explore - also includes zip lines, rock wall, and hiking path.
Another great riverwalk option - very beautiful scenery and big flat river stones to climb on.
