Our journey began in the halls of Holy Name High School back in 2011. At just 15 years old, we crossed paths as sophomores. We were both crazy about sports and shared mutual friends. Fun fact, we are both etched in Holy Name Yearbook history, winning the title of "Most Athletic" together as seniors! While we ran in similar circles, by the end of high school our connection could still be described as a loose friendship. As high school graduation came, we found ourselves choosing separate paths for college, with Ama heading to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Jeffrey enrolling at Assumption University. Fate seemed to conspire to keep us within reach, with encounters at WPI sporting events and even a stint of living just across the street from one another. It wasn't until years later, in 2019, that our story took a romantic turn. At groomsmen Jimmy Flynn’s graduation party, amidst the celebrations and a few drinks, we flirted the night away. A week later Jeffrey mustered up the courage to reach out to Ama for a date. From that moment on, we became inseparable! Our relationship blossomed over shared passions, from lazy summer days spent in Cape Cod to cheering on our beloved Jayson Tatum and the Celtics. We found joy in friendly competition on the Peloton, indulging in our mutual love for pasta and dining at our favorite local spot, the 99. But perhaps most cherished are the simple pleasures we share – long car rides, dreaming about our future together, and indulging in an end-of-week ice cream treat. Reflecting on our journey, we marvel at the innocence of meeting at such a young age, recognizing the growth we've undergone from 15-year-old acquaintances to the loving couple we are today. We believe that God's timing is always perfect and eagerly anticipate celebrating this love surrounded by family and friends.
